Valentines For Vets

Volunteers gather and enjoy special old fashioned snacks and treats while decorating and creating special Valentine Cards that are delivered to local Veterans who are in nursing homes and hospitals.  Join in & share a little love by creating handmade Valentine cards & messages to be delivered to local Veterans who are receiving care in our area hospitals. Bring your friends, neighbors, grandkids, big kids — everyone is invited & refreshments will be provided! A variety of materials will be available to make the cards and feel free to donate items or bring your own if you want to add a little of your own personality & creativity to the cards. Our objective is to send as many sweet “Valentine” messages to our American heroes to make sure they know we appreciate their service & sacrifice for the greatest country in the world and that we love them as much as we love our country.

Events we do

Charity Begins at Home – and happiness and a sense of fulfillment comes more from helping others and putting others ahead of yourself, along with a sense of gratitude and in being charitable, truly charitible is one of the secrets to a good life and to teach your children at home about how to give to others. That is why my home, holds 3 annual charity events to bring our community together to share their blessings with those less fortunate and who need our help. The events are Valentines for Veterans in February, Sock it to a Vet Day on Veterans Day and a Christmas Pajama Party & Open House.
